Social Artistry™ is the art of enhancing human capacities in the light of social complexity. It seeks to bring new ways of thinking, being and doing to social challenges in the world.

Drawing upon its successes in training leaders in many countries and organizations throughout the world, Social Artistry™ brings state of the art discoveries in human capacity building to social transformation. Thus, it seeks to build a planetary society based on the principles of democracy, sustainable development, human-based needs and values, universal human rights, environmental protection, social justice, equality and the sovereignty and dignity of all peoples worldwide.

Social Artists are leaders in many fields who bring the same order of passion and skill that an artist brings to his or her art form to the canvas of our social reality. It is within the depth work of Social Artistry™ that we can access the inner capacities to align ourselves with the earth's higher purpose. Social Artistry Intensive
January 12-16, 2012, Los Angeles, CA

This 2-day training is more than a solid introduction to Social Artistry. You will engage in and learn to employ all manner of latent human capacities — sensory and physical, psychological and relational, mythic and symbolic, and spiritual and integral. You can expect that these processes will expand your inner and outer ways of being, that you will become more creative, more imaginative, and more finely equipped to deal with the many challenges of life.

Social Artistry Trainers Training
February 2-10, 2012, Colquitt, Georgia

If you have attended Social Artistry intensives or are a longtime participant in Jean Houston’s Mystery School, you are eligible to come to this Trainers Training event, where you will learn and practice guiding new audiences to share in the experience of activating previously untapped inner potentials. A rich set of training materials are provided for you to take home, and you will become part of a network of Social Artistry trainers actively leading introductory programs in North America and around the world.

This is our second year to offer this training event in Colquitt, Georgia, home of the famous Swamp Gravy and the Building Creative Communities Conference, both trimtab projects of longtime social artists Joy Jinks, Karen Kimbrel, and friends. You will have the opportunity to see a production of Swamp Gravy and to attend the conference if you desire.

Swamp Gravy is the official folk life play of Georgia, and the social artists of Colquitt have initiated many other projects, including to become Georgia’s official Mural City and to host the Global Mural Conference in October, 2010.
